Google's upcoming Motion Cues feature for Pixels has been rebranded as Motion Assist, according to an Android Authority teardown. This move aims to distinguish it from Apple's Vehicle Motion Cues tool. The feature is designed to alleviate motion sickness when using Android phones in moving vehicles. The teardown of the Google Play Service beta (version 25.49.31) revealed the name change. The feature is now called Motion Assist, as seen in the screenshot. The reason for the name change is unclear, but it's likely to differentiate Google's offering from Apple's. Motion Assist is already available on several new phones, including the OnePlus 15, vivo X300 Pro, and OPPO Find X9 Pro, which display moving dots on the screen to reduce motion sickness. Additionally, Google is working on a Transiting Mode for buses and trains, which will make automatic settings adjustments for a smoother transit experience.
